After a storm
Unsafe or insecure fences go to the front of the queue. We make them safe first, then do the full repair once posts and materials are in. Call us on 07738 178091 and we will give you an honest timescale.
Until we arrive, keep children and pets away from a leaning run and do not try to push it back upright. Take a few photos: they help us price the repair and they help with an insurance claim.
Repair or replace?
If the posts are sound, we replace the broken panels or boards and keep the cost down. If the posts have rotted at ground level, a repair will not last and we will tell you so.
Most of this area sits on London Clay, which swells in winter and shrinks in summer. Timber posts set straight into that soil are the first thing to fail. - Small repairs (a panel, a post, a gate rehang): £150 to £800, VAT included
- Partial replacement of a run: £800 to £2,500, VAT included

Who pays for a shared fence?

Will my insurance pay?
Many home policies cover storm damage to fences but not wear and tear. We can give you a written quote and photos to send with your claim.
Can you make a gap secure straight away?
Yes. Where a fallen fence leaves the garden open, we board the gap first and come back for the permanent repair.
Can you price from photos?
Often, yes. Send three photos, the rough length in metres and your postcode. Anything less clear gets a site visit.
